Pop Lickin' Good

Looks like the months of February and March might end up being a wonderful exploration of poppy goodness. Four shows I know about that I don't think are to miss are coming up.

Tokyo Police Club, February 5 at Exit/In. Not exactly the most distinct of bands, for they remind me of a lot of other bands out today, but they are good at it and I really like their energy.

Fitz and The Tantrums, February 13 at 3rd and Lindsley. Can't beat it at $10.

Fitz and The Tantrums - Money Grabber by The Clothes Hangar

Government Cheese, February 26 at The Rutledge. Old school Nashville punk. Tommy Womack has written so much in between Government Cheese and today, it will be nice to go back old school for a few shows. This is the one I will be singing Fish Stick Day at for the reunion. Let's all run to the Rutledge'aye.

Cold War Kids, March 28 at Cannery Ballroom. The songs I've heard are great and looking forward to seeing them play live. Will be a great show.

And I am not forgetting tonight's show with Swung and Rumble Circus! They were almost before even my time, but I remember them, just not well. Nashville 80's pop, form of a reunion show! Tonight at The End, but just for tonight I'm going to call it Elliston Square where I saw Jet Black Factory when I was like 12.
